The world is becoming a complicated place, it is so easy to feel tired, anxious and stressful. Being involved in the art world is a savior for me. Teaching art gives me the opportunity to meet so many people from different age groups and walks of life. The one common denominator is how happy they are when they are being creative.
One of my favorite classes to teach is Art Shotz, a short workshop lasting 2 to 2 1/2 hours...just enough time to fit into a busy schedule. The idea behind Art Shotz is to use a 6 x 6 canvas, canvas panel or watercolor paper and then pick the art materials you want to add. You get to play with paint, collage items, oil pastels, chalk pastels, colored pencils, gelatos....and more.
I will be teaching this short workshop at Sparks Studio of Creative Art in Arlington, Texas on July 23rd and August 2nd....each time you take the workshop you can change it up and use new art supplies you may have never tried. The basic materials used in the ones I picture in this post are napkins and washi tape for collage, acrylic paint and stencils, and oil pastels. Take the class with me at Sparks or grab yourself a small surface to work on and some basic art supplies and spend a couple of hours just creating.....just for you, you deserve it!!
